ok I am researching micro water purification kits and pricings. This fellow tried to sell me one well rather?

he gave me a voucher for a $1200 micro filtering unit that attaches to my sink and shower. BUT…. I had to pay $22 a week to cover 20 servicing visits over a 10 years period. So i have started researching these things – i need to know what a micron is because you can get 1, 2, 5 and 50 microns filters . if you have a micro purification system what is it and do you like the water? I live in Melbourne Australia and the water is pretty awful.

if you really want to get a good system 1in line charcoal filtration screen 2 UV in-line water treatment system 3 in line micro filter
those three things in that order will give you the safe drinking water you want
but you must stay within the manufacturers replacement guide lines of the filters
